Design question..

Ok, I need the opinion of the talented minds roaming the imagineer boards.

For the park I am designing, I am trying do decide if my Fronteirland needs to be connected to my liberty square area considering the closeness of themes.

So, think of main street as a T shape, the base starting at the entrance with the top of the top connecting to adventure and fronteir from left to right, the ends of the top connecting to liberty and fantasy from left to right, and the bottom of the top connecting to tomorrow on the right side. In the middle of the base of the T on the left side, there is an off shoot which also leads to liberty. I'm wondering if I should maybe switch adventure and fronteir or if they are fine where they are, because this would lead to other issues if I do that.

What do we think?

Can you make a really quick sketch on paint?

Hey, I forgot I had drawn this one also. The plans have changed a little since then, but the general layout is the same.

OH! I get it now hahaha. I especially like this sketch with the icons surounding everything. And this is really quite a unique and original layout...very cool. I don't think LS needs FrL in order to work thematically, and I think if you use the WDW AL (with the Swiss Family Robinson area and the colonial style architecture) closest to LS then you'd have no problem with the layout you've come up with.

Thanks, this helps a lot :sohappy:. But hey, do me a favor and look for future posts because I will be asking more questions.

you have a nice avatar photo comics101...wonder where ya lifted that from. :ROFLOL:

Thanks! Actually I found it on a blog called www.disneydesignerland.blogspot.com. It's a really great blog about the principles behind Disney Park designs. One of the weekly segments are T-shirt designs, and that's where this image comes from (actually, if I'm not mistaken, back in the 70's this image could be found on shopping bags in WDW). I thought the design was cool and it would make the perfect avatar so...yeah. Interesting story I know...

EDIT: I just realized you're the guy who runs the blog! Me being as naive and oblivious as I am I thought you were serious :ROFLOL:
Did you want me to take it off? I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean anything at all. I really am sorry

p.s. As if you couldn't tell :p I really am a fan of your work, and would absolutly love to own a few of those t-shirts!
