Deluxe Resort for Adults

I'd be curious to get everyone's thoughts on the best deluxe resort (and why) to stay at for two adults, no kids.

Thanks in advance!

Either the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian. Both have really romantic atmospheres, and they are on the monorail track, which makes it easy to get to MK and Epcot.

Hi Kennedy!

Great Question!

Personal preferences for location, noise levels, and your "definition" of romance will all come into play in your decision making process.
Different surroundings can evoke passion in different people.
Some like the "by-gone era" feeling of the Grand Floridian....others the "exotic" feel of the Polynesian...still many others, the beautiful wooded "retreat" at Wilderness Lodge.
All are beautiful in their own way.

I like Wilderness Lodge for its scenic beauty. Nice water features, wooded forests, a HUGE fireplace, great paths to explore in the woods, and TERRIFFIC restaurants! VERY relaxing! That might not be for everyone.......

Ironically, others will choose different places for the SAME reasons.
Be sure to check the WDW website for pictures and thorough descriptions of all the Resorts and room pictures. That should help you pick the perfect spot for your next "Adults-only" get-away!

Good Luck!

Wilderness Lodge!!!

It is very romantic, quiet and I didn't notice that many screaming children.

The only "loud" part of this resort is over by "Whispering Canyon Cafe" where they occasionally.

Wilderness Lodge is romantic, too. Especially if you stay in the main building up top. It is so quiet and cozy up there. I had a friend have her honeymoon there, she said it was so nice to have a glass of champagne by the fireplaces, she said she felt so cozy.

I'd think the Yacht Club or BoardWalk would be the best bet. Very romantic ambiances and you can walk into World Showcase and stroll around at night, and at night we all know that it is beautiful there. Also, monorails are bad b/c the resorts have a hustle bustle feeling and many people in general.

Everyone always assumes Magic Kingdom Resorts are better, but I beg to differ, and I hope others do too. They all have a cold feeling and are "just there." Epcot Resorts are warm and friendly in atmosphere and spirit.

Grand Floridian...quiet, relaxing, nice adult restaurants. Seems to be less kids there than at other resorts. Unfortunately, its the most pricey of your options, but if you can afford, I say go for it, you won't be disappointed.

I have 2 choices..

1. Grand Floridian because it is very romantic and has great places to eat.

2. Y & BC they too are romantic but also have the best location for more adult things to do. :)

Any of the Deluxe resorts would be a good choice for you. Most of the families stay at either the Value or Moderate Resorts, so you will not find an over abundance of kids at the deluxes. Each of the hotels has it's special romantic advantages. I would say go by you own personal taste in order to choose the one that is right for you.

I say Yacht club. We have stayed at the grand floridian and the Yacht club, and of the two would pick the Yacht club again. Close to Epcot, more to do later in the evening, and a great place for a stroll. We really enjoy walking back from MGM at night.
