Deluxe Dining Plan vs. Tables in Wonderland: Worth it?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place or if there is another thread addressing it. I looked but could not find one.

We have Tables in Wonderland and use it all the time. As some of you know it is 20% off food and bevs including alcoholic bevs. My DH wants to try Deluxe Dining Plan on our 9 day visit in June.

Our party is DH, me, and DS age 12 and DS age 9. Generally, we eat lunch every day at counter service or table service. We eat table service each night. 3 of the Table Service Dinners are at DDP ignature restaurants. At Dinner DH & I usually have 2 or 3 alcoholic beverages each. DSs are bottomless snack pits usually eating 3 or 4 snacks each each day.

So my question is does Deluxe Dining Plan make sense or is Tables in Wonderland a better deal. Hopefully someone else has had this dilemma.

All thoughts on this are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tables in Wonderland is better, IMHO, here's why:

- At Dinner DH & I usually have 2 or 3 alcoholic beverages each - TiW includes alcohol, DxDDP doesn't

- DSs are bottomless snack pits usually eating 3 or 4 snacks each each day - DxDDP only gives you 2 snacks per nights stay

- from the math I've done, once you start using the credits for counter service, you start losing money; to make the best use of the 3 credits per day, they should usually be at table service or signature dining

- sounds like the boys eat a lot - with the DxDDP, DS9 would be restricted to kids menus

- DxDDP costs $71.99 per person (age 10+) - paid in advance - if you don't use the credits, you don't get the money back - you lose it. TiW you use it as you go.

I use TiW. When I was on free dining, I still used it for anything that wasn't included, appetizers and alcohol. I don't bother with the dining plan unless it's free and even if it's free I'll look for better deals. This August I'm staying at CB water view at 40% off, saving a lot more than all my dining will cost OOP.
