Deli at MK

I think it would be nice if Magic Kingdom would open some type of Deli in the park. You used to be able to get Deli-style sandwiches at Pinocchio's Village Haus, until they changed the menu. Now, we don't have as much variety of counter service food. The deli sandwiches would offer healthier fare.

Disney could either outsource the deli to someone like Quiznos or Subway, or they could probably run it themselves.

What are your thoughts?

THe PLAZA on Main Street at MK: Although it is not counter service, it is very inexpensive for table service and has GREAT sandwiches! We eat there at least once every time we go to WDW.

And I do agree that PVH had great food. Haven't tried it since the change, but will try it in a few weeks!

In a weird twist of irony, the parks do have subways just offstage for the CMs to have lunch at.
I wonder if you could bribe a CM to get go get you a BMT backstage?
They'll do almost anything a guest wants, right? :lookaroun

I've always found The Plaza to be overpriced for what you get. The burger isn't any better than Cosmic Ray's or Pecos Bill's and it is a few bucks more. And they used to have the best Chicken Noodle soup in the world and they don't have it anymore.

Well, your best bet to ask a CM would be one going in/out near Test Track or the Odyssey at Epcot, because it's right there.

If you've got a good eye, occasionally you can spot an Epcot CM walking back to their location with a subway bag.

A Deliless Main Street...
How about Dehli's Main Street?

I guess you could say that.

However, I still think it would be a neat idea. The eatery can offer more than just deli sandwiches, including a wide variety of snacks and 'on-the-go' food stuffs as well as an oppurtunity to sit down and relax.

Oh please, half the shops on Main Street carry the same merchandise as every other shop. What's one less shop.

They sure didn't think twice about taking out the Magic Shoppe. :(

I'm not trying to argue. I really do think that it could be fit in somewhere though.
Nah... it's got to be on Main Street... bigger flow means more doe...
I agree with you, however if it a little off the beaten path, people will still find it and it might be a good thing as space would probably be at a premium.

I doubt it, see what happened with Noodle Station...

Product is right, location is bad, too much tucked away...

Maybe so....but I do think that a deli has more massive appeal than a bowl of noodles. :D
