This is sad. I seen him on tv for a very long time starting in the 1980s. Besides Jeopardy, I remembered him on Classic Concentration back when I was a kid.
I admire him for sharing his diagnosis with his fans, prior to it getting out in the news. I saw the interview he gave, and he wanted people to have the story directly from him. He said he's going to fight this, and I hope he succeeds.
Alex Trebek is a class act!. I have always admired how he eloquently (and with humor) handles the contestants on Jeopardy.
I believe in the power of prayer, and will join all the others in prayers for his recovery.
Always enjoyed Alex Trebek on Jeopardy. He'd been a bit of a topic of conversation in our house over the last few months. My younger one has been begging for a trip to go see narwhals. It's way out of my budget for our family of 4, but she found this trip for this June where you can vacation with Mr. Trebek on an arctic adventure to see narwhals and polar bears. https://arctickingdom.com/narwhal-safari-alex-trebek/
While I'm sure those booked would be disappointed, I hope he takes the time to focus on his health. Survival rates for pancreatic cancer aren't great, but it's not a lost cause either. Wishing him all of the best in his fight.
I've known many with pancreatic cancer, all determined to beat it, all failed. It is sad for sure, but, it is one of the ones that has the highest mortality rate of all the cancers right now. I, like the rest of you really do hope that he is successful, but, it is not a good long range outlook.
