Dec 5th or 6th (4hrs diff in open time)

Hi, planning a 1 day visit to MK early December. I note for Monday Dec 5th the opening times are 9am-11pm yet the times for the next day are currently 9am-7pm.

Do I take the additional 4 hours of opening time for the Monday to be a sign it's expected to busy and the Tuesday not so much? If so, what would your recommendation be: busier day/more time or quieter day/less time?

I do believe the Monday is being predicated to be quite busy. If you look at the Touring Plans crowd calendar it is predicting a 9 for MK on the Monday and a 4 for MK on the Tuesday. You can see it here: https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/crowd-calendar
You can read on the site how they define a 9 and a 4 but if you want to enjoy the park with less crowds (especially during the afternoon) then the Tuesday would probably be your best bet. If you prefer the longer hours and don't mind crowds as much, I would go with Monday. We are there at that time and we are taking the Monday. Have fun!

The park closes at 7 on 12/6 for the Christmas Party.

December 6th is Mickey's Very Magical Christmas Party night - it's a hard ticket event and unless you have a ticket you'll be out of the park by around 6pm,
Go visit Monday 5th - MK will be busy both days but you'll get more hours to do it in on Monday

If you see a MK closing time of 7:00 from Sept. thru Dec., it's a fair bet that it's because there is a hard ticket event that night.

Thank you for the responses, very helpful. I wasn't aware of the party nights and I did think the disparity between opening times was odd.

I also realised after posting that if we went on Tue 6th we'd miss out on the fireworks, water and laser shows. So looks like Mon 5th it is.
