Ok we need some advise.....My wife is a teacher and we only have certain times of the year we can go on vacation. As of now we are looking at two dates and want to know what your thoughts are.
Dec 18-27
April 3-11
We went this past Christmas and found the crowds to not be that bad. We have looked up past times for Easter and in 2010 Easter was on the 4th of April very similar to this next year and crowds were not listed as high at all by touringplans.com. we would rather go in April but are leary of the spring break crowds. Please help.

We love Christmas at WDW. We've been in the Spring but never Easter week.

At Christmas, as you know, everything is decorated. In the Spring, you could visit Flower & Garden. It's to the point that there is some type of crowd at WDW year round. It's all in how you handle crowds and what you want to do while visiting. Since you want to try April, go for it. If you didn't think Christmas was too bad, then you'll be okay in April.

We have been both time frames and Easter week is FAR more crowded than the week leading up to Christmas. We were there Easter week in 2010 ~ MK was in phased closing 3 days; the day we were in Epcot it was 180 minute waits for Test Track and Soarin' We vowed no more Easter.

I personally won't do spring break again. Once was enough for me, I would go for December if I were you.
I'm in S. Georgia and our schools are out next year 3/30-4/3. We get a fall school break and this year we're trying that, in early October.

Ditto on ditching the week of Easter. Plus, that may be spring break for some of the schools. I would go in December - everything is decorated and the Castle with the Christmas lights is stunning.
