Debate my trip decision :)

Hello there! šŸ˜Ž Quick background: I'm OCD in recovery and would like to pick the lowest crowd time. I'm under no illusion that it is ever not busy but I'm determined to try. We are leaning towards September. I am germaphobic but my ultimate exposure therapy would be the happiest place on earth. I didn't have OCD during our last visit in 2012. It was a the best vacation I've ever had.

I didn't realize that they were unveiling new attractions and refurbishing major resorts. How might this affect crowd levels? Is there any advice on how to manage crowds and pick the quietest resorts?
We are fond of Port Orleans but now I wonder if that resort will be more popular because of the construction at the other moderate resorts. I read that CBR doesnt have food courts right now. Is that correct? Otherwise I'd go there if the crowds were lower.

We've been three times before 2012 and none of the resorts (including All Star) were really all that crowded. I just want to hedge my bets.

I'm so excited to go and don't want to let my OCD steal this experience but I'd feel so much better with a strategy to avoid heavy crowds whenever possible. Thank you so much!

I would use undercovertourist for crowd levels. That being said, there is no slow time anymore! Since the tier pricing for tickets began. I would suggest going in September like you plan, that was one of the less crowded times. I would definitely go before or after the 50th Anniversary in 2021....something tells me that that will be a mess with crowds! Toy Story land should have calmed down a little by September, too. And if you are not a Star Wars fan, then going this year is better than next fall when SW opens. That too will be a mess--I don't like people that much! LOL

September might be one of the better times to go. Slightly less crowds but very hot/humid. Another thought is April not around Easter/Passover weeks into early May.

I'd stick to your idea of Port Orleans if that appeals to you. It is nice and calming there I agree :)

POFQ should be okay. However, if you really want to avoid crowds look into the cabins at FW or the Treehouse Villas in Saratoga Springs.
Crowd levels at the park are the great unkown. However some commons sense approaches here might help.

If you are going in September, steer clear of EPCOT on Friday Night, Saturdays, and Sunday Night. The MNNSHP on Fridays and Sundays will drive more people to EPCOT. You will also have an influx of locals at EPCOT Sat and Sun due to Food and Wine.

Steer clear of the MK on Saturdays. Due to the fact MK is closed to regular guests on Friday and Sunday night because of the Halloween Party, Saturday night is the only weekend night people can go to see fireworks and parades. Now, if you want to spend a little more you can get a ticket for MNSSHP and have somewhat reduced crowds.
