DDP- No dessert offered?

Hi ,
First time psoting here, new to the boards, but not to Disney =)!
I have a question. I am busily planning our meals for next month's Disney trip.

We are on the DDP. What if a counter service location does not offer dessert items? Could we get a soup or salad instead?

Also, I notice some table service locations do not offer dessert on the kid's menu, does this mean we should order from the adult menu?


We are traveling with our five daughters and I am trying to work the system to our advantage. (Doesn't eveyone ?)

Which quick service does not offer desert? I believe they all do. Also, if they do not have a specific kids desert, yes, she can pick an adult one.
