How does the use year of this card work. Is it good for one year from date of purchase? If you are an AP holder already, how does that work. My AP is up in may of 2009 but I want to buy the TIW card for a trip in November so how does that work? Also, can you buy it ahead of time or only at the parks?

You can buy it in advance. The number is (407) 566-5858. They are open M - F, 9 - 5. I called in August and had one mailed to me. The expiration date is September of 2009. It is not tied to your AP expiration date. (Mine also expires May '09)

You can also just buy it when you get to WDW at the main theme park Guest Relations or at DTD. We did that on our last trip, to make sure it was valid for as long as possible. FWIW.

Is Tables in Wonderland really beneficial? I am an AP and am questioning if I should purchase the card? It would be great if they did not tack on 18% gratuity for table service. That is only table service correct? 20% off at Sports food court is EXCELLENT!!

Something else to bear in mind. The gratuity of 18% is automatically added to your bill but you also pay the sales tax on the gratuity too which I was not expecting.

For some reason we got 13 months for our wonderland card.

So is the card worth it?
Yes!

The gratuity is added, but unless you don't tip at all, the savings are still very good. I easily paid for mine with two meals, everything from then on was savings on food and drink.

One party of ten [I've never had that many people with me] would pay for the cost of the card and save money the first meal you used it.
