DDE at WOL 5/27

The Disney Dining Experience (DDE) is hosting a private event for DDE members only at the Wonders of Life (WOL) in the old MetLife VIP Lounge.

The VIP lounge is overtop of Body Wars as well as the Frontiers of Medicine area and looks into the pavillion through a series of mirrored glass windows on the second floor in that area. It is elaborate and themed to the "fairgrounds" of Wonders with large open areas for tables, plush ornate red and purple couches, and even a small puppet-show wagon.

The event on 5/27 is a "preview" of an elaborate dinner Disney chef's have been selected to present in New York in June. It is a high-end multi-course meal with wine pairings and is available only to members of the DDE.

Sounds cool, but I hope this isn't the only reason why they were just repainting WOL and fixing it up.....

Admittedly, lots of really high end people are expected to be at this exclusive dinner - but that seems like a dumb reason to repaint the DNA tower, the railings along the building, and to dust-off the canopys inside. I mean, seriously, they never cleaned those canopys during Wonders actual operation.
