So we can look forward to a bunch of drunken loons roaming DCA like at Epcot? Why did they get rid of it to begin with?

They got rid of it in 2011 (2010 was the last one) when they started all the extensive construction in the park. Was supposed to be back by 2013 but I guess it look them a little longer to get moving. Either way, glad to have it back!

Big Day for DCA. The last Mad T Party is March 30th. Curious since the Alice sequel is due out soon.

Also weird because, as far as I know, they haven't announced anything to take its place -- right? Last time they had at least swapped it out with Freeze the Night and intended for it to come back. You'd think they'd want to make sure to have some compelling night time offering as the summer months start to roll in, not take it away. If there is a replacement of sorts, I find it strange they didn't announce that as well.

I don't know either way, but there may not be a replacement. This could just be one of the many cuts being put into place.

It makes me wonder why they are bring the Food & Wine Festival back. They stopped it in 2011 because of the construction. Then they found out WOC brought in more people anyway. Well, it is a new park and maybe it will be popular like the Epcot version is this time around.

Good to hear it's coming back. I already have friends who have changed their visit plans so they can attend one of the weekends. I'm guessing it won't be nearly the drunken cluster that supposedly Epcot's version is. Us Californian's are pretty much drunk/buzzed most of the time already.

I remember one trip to WDW, it was Epcot day and I told my wife I was going to drink my way around the world and stop in every country and have a beer. upon completion I remarked that I thought I had drank myself sober! Its not the beer, its the walking.

The year I went was pretty disappointing compared to Epcot's which is pretty amazing. Was basically a special signature item at some of the DCA restaurants and then a little food court of sorts in the building that used to house Hollywood & Dine. There were also some cooking demonstrations in Hubcab Plaza. Still, was nice to have and I remember eating some tasty food!

My concern with this now is that it's going to be overrun. Epcot has the blessing of great swaths of space, DCA does not. Since 2010, AP numbers have skyrocketed and DCA's attendance has grown steadily. Hopefully Disney is anticipating crowds for this and planning accordingly.
