On days when I work late in the afternoon I love to get up early and go to a park. Last Thursday my best friend and I did just that. We "opened" EPCOT. I was excited to finally get to ride Soarin'. So we headed straight there and fastpassed it. Then we went to breakfast at Fountain View- another place I had never been since its only open in the mornings. So finally our time comes to ride Soarin'. Was anyone else as excited to see the voice of Kronk doing the pre-ride video? I loved that! We requested and got the first hangglider and didnt have to wait very long at all. Yay for Fastpasses. The only thing that got to me was when the gliders are raised at the beginning. I totally loved the ride itself. Awesome. Everything went as planned during the ride, but when we were supposed to be lowered- we stayed in the air. I kinda freaked out at first when "Kronk" was telling us to unfasten our saftey belts and exit to the right and we were still high in the air. Then it was just funny. After a few minutes we were lowered and told that they were going to let us ride again. Yippee! My first ride and I get to do it twice! From another glider, though, a Guest wasnt so happy about that and told them to let her off. lol Guess she didnt like it. Understandable.
After that it was straight to Animal Kingdom. I hadnt ridden Everest yet and was about to die to. We knew the wait would be long, but we had time. Good thing too. We waited for about an hour and a half, killing the time by taking pictures of ourselves and the awesome que and video taping. Finally to the head of the line, we requested and got the first car. I was super-excited! And the video proves it. I taped the ride...hehe. Long story short- my friend knew the CM at unload and he gave us fastpasses to ride it another 2 times in a row. Yay!! That is my new favorite ride! I totally love it- the mountain, the veiw from the top, the going backwards, the YETI! Everything. Yeti was in full A mode all 3 times. His reaching makes for great video footage from the front car! All in all that was a fantastic day. It will probably never happen again- but it was truly amazing.
