Day Beds?

The day beds located at the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Yacht Club, and Beach Club Resorts are full day beds, basically a standard twin size bed (39" wide x 75" long) that looks like a couch during the day.

The day beds located at the Boardwalk Inn is the size of a child's bed (35" wide x 65" long) and is not recommended for a Guest more then 5 ft.

They are quite comfortable. We've used the ones at the Contemporary, Polynesian and the Boardwalk without any problems. My youngest is 5'2" and slept very well on the one at the Boardwalk every night. I'm 5'4 and napped on it with no problems either.

None of the Disney Resorts allow requests for roll-a-way beds. Each rooms is designed with bedding already in place for the room's maximum occupancy.

Disney's Port Orleans Riverside offers child trundle beds in select rooms to accomodate a child under 5 feet and under 9 years of age.

I affectionately refer to "my" daybed at Yacht Club as being similar to a "dog's pillow at the foot of the bed." It's large enough to sleep on, similar to a college dorm room bed, just not as long. I am 6'4 and sleep on it, though I cannot stretch out.

I don't complain about the size. But it does not have a lot of padding.

Unless things have changed you can get a c.o.t. at the Caribbean Beach and they also say there is room for sleeping bags on the floor. They do say the room is for 4 guests and a baby in a crib.

Is this because they only offer full size beds instead of queens size ones?
(a few kings are available also)

Thanks for the info about CBR. My two friends and I are planing a trip next year. Staying at a delux is expensive but the double bed at the value and moderates are sqishy sharing. A ______ would be great and the CBR was one of the resorts that I was looking at.:)
