First, AIRTRAN gets an A+. They were absolutely fantastic and made up for a previous bad experience.
Alamo - GREAT PREPAY and PRIOR CHECK IN SERVICE. However, when we got to the lot, there were about 50 other families trying to get cars on the lot as well - it is a madhouse. But I got a nice car nonetheless.
Marriott Grande Vista: HUGE, STUNNING AND BEAUTIFUL! However, our room was not ready until 6pm and even still - we went up to the room to find the housekeeper in there cleaning the stove - she claimed that the previous housekeeper in the room did not do an adequate job on cleaning. As it stands, our stove is still not clean because she disappeared after we came in the room. Though, I like the hotel!!!
Downtown Disney: The street around DD on New Years Day was HORRIBLE! It took an HOUR to get to DD and then another 45 minutes trying to find a parking space. It was horrible. However, we had lunch at Rainforrest Cafe and the food was DELICIOUS. We wanted TREX but the wait looked to be about 2 hours.
Side Note: I feel sorry for the people that stay in the DD hotels (not Disney ones) - they must have one hell of a time getting out their hotels during busy times.
Magic Kingdom: ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! We went there around 830pm last night and let me tell you - the MK has never looked more stunning. The crowds from the 1st SpectroMagic parade were leaving and Wishes was playing (we had a wonderful view of the fireworks from the ferry and also saw the Electrical Water Pageant).
Spectromagic was BEAUTIFUL. I have never seen the parade look more beautiful than it did last night. Though, the Queen float and Minnies float was missing. Minnie and Donald were on the same boat as Alice in Wonderland.
The park was open until midnight so we got to ride a couple of things between 1030 and midnight and finished the night off with Caseys hot dogs (DELICIOUS!!!)
