Announcing.... Dave's semi-annual-has-something-free-to-give-away Photo Contest.
The Rules - Very simple. One entry per person only. Entries must fit the theme/category presented. Material must be your own, if you submit things that arent your own, you'll be banned from any future Photo Contests and anything Steve decides is appropriate.
Judging - Judging will be done by myself. All judges are ineligible for this contest. (IE, i cant enter)
The Rewards :
First Place - A Disney 'Night of Joy' CD
Second Place - (something cool that i will find after the contest is over with)
Third Place - The Knowledge that you took a really cool photo.
This Episode's Theme: Candids at Disney. Any scene, situation, etc captured at ANY Disney Park (Including DLP & TDL) in a candid environment. Posed shots of characters (or any posed shot altogether) will be automatically ignored and disqualified. The main emphasis is your best photo in a Candid setting.
Deadline for Submission: Friday, September 24, 2004 at 11:59 EDT.
Winners Annouced: Friday October 1 or Saturday October 2.
How to Submit: - Attach your entry to this thread in a JPG format (Medium image quality) withe the image no larger than 640x640.
Other things that will get you disqualified - BLATENT use of photoshop or other photo editing that is not consistatnt with standard photo ethics. I will be using the washington post's guidelines for this, which basically means if you cant do it in a darkroom, its not legit. (Those are available somewhere on the net, like at SPJ or something.) Further Clarifications - When we mean candid, we're gereally talking anything but POSED photos of any sort. No, you dont have to have people in them (but it helps). Landscapes, archetectrial photos, castle shots etc, generally arent what we're looking for. We'll save those for future contests...
