Dave's or DVC Rental Store?

Last year the DW and I rented points from Dave's, it was quick and cost efficient. While checking into our next trip, I noticed another player in the planning process, The DVC Rental Store. Has anyone dealt with them? Pros and cons of both? While I liked dealing with Dave's , the DVC Rental Store has come up with a better price for the next trip. Any input would be appreciated.

We've used DVC Rental Store several times and been quite satisfied. I'm in the process of using Dave's right now for a December trip. So far so good!

Usually, I try to book a quite early before my trip, so availability isn't really a problem. At this time, i am looking for a trip around 12/11-16/2023. Plus the DW and I are looking to stay at the Treehouse @ SS, I don't think they sell out. and the points are around 220.

I was talking about if they have an owner wanting to rent out their points. Availability of the rooms won’t alter between the brokers, but if they don’t have anyone with the right points then you’re out of luck.

And by the way, that week you’re wanting is a very popular time for DVC. Most popular week is the first full week in December, next most popular is the second full week in December. The tree houses are still available just now, but I have no way of telling how many are left.

At one time, that week and the week before was a slow time. Disney offered discounts ( remember those?) for that time. Then for some magical reason the following years, Disney stated that the discounts wouldn't be offered for that time, because the last year or so it was a busy time. They couldn't see that when they offered the discounts THEY made it busy. People love deals! Last year I rented points during that same time frame to stay @ BLT and had no problem renting points. I believe throwing your name in the hat early enough, your chances get better obtaining what you are looking for.

DVC peak times correspond to the low points chart periods. They don’t follow the general Disney peak periods.

DVC have attempted to rejig the points charts a bit, but I’m not convinced it will have much of an impact on those first two weeks of December. What they might manage to do is create a couple more additional high demand weeks with the points chart changes.

As it seems; on Friday 3/3/2023, I sent DVC Rental Store my $100.00 deposit. On Monday 3/6/2023, I received an Email stating that my reservation has been reserved. I am impressed with the quickness of this transaction. So, in my opinion of both companies, they are about the same. Dave's took a tad bit longer to obtain my reservation, only because it was BLT 1BR Lake View. For the people that are slightly reserved about renting points for your stay, Jump In, The Water Is Fine!!!

A couple years ago we used Dave’s to stay at AKL. Process was seamless and they were nice enough. Using DVC rental this year for our stay and it’s been just as great. Don’t think you can go wrong with either
