Has anyone ever attended Dapper Day at WDW?

It's an unofficial day at Disney where guests dress in there 60's finest like they used to in Walt's day.

The fall one is this Saturday at HS. I'm thinking of planning a trip for the spring one next year (not exactly sure when)!

Going to miss it by 3 weeks. Noticed that Disneyland was promoting the Dapper Weekend with a Facebook gallery from Trader Sam's.

We visited family that lived in Southern california in 1959. DisneyLand was, of course, at the top of the list. I remeber my uncle telling my dad that he did not need a sports coat and that pants and a short sleeve shirt would be fine. Heaven forbid my dad ever wear shorts. I also remember my aunt telling my mom not to wear heels and that flats would be more confortable, again heaven forbid my mom ever wear slacks. I also remember my parents dressing up to go to the mall, e.g. dad wearing a tie. Boy have times changed. That said I would love to be a part of it as it would be just like when i was a kid.

Sounds fun, but I already promised the fam we would go to MK this Saturday. I think I'm the only one of in my family that enjoys DHS anyway.

what a great idea!!! wishing I could participate. I think it is important to dress nicely when you are going out in public. I was shocked to read a post on WDWMagic that someone was going to fly to MCO in their PJs Really, a grown adult in PJs on a plane, do they have no self respect???

My daughter and I are going this Saturday and are very excited about this. It was supposed to be at MK, but since that is Night of JOy it was moved to HS from 4PM-9PM then continues on the Boardwalk until everything shuts daown, I guess.

My daughter and I are going this Saturday and are very excited about this. It was supposed to be at MK, but since that is Night of JOy it was moved to HS from 4PM-9PM then continues on the Boardwalk until everything shuts daown, I guess.
