Dancing fountain at Downtown Marketplace

We met friends for lunch at Downtown Disney and our four boys discovered the fountain near the parking lot at the Marketplace. They had fun avoiding the random, dancing spurts of water and getting a little wet. As time wore on, however, the squirting increased in speed and velocity and at one point EVERY SINGLE HOLE in the ground squirted water at the same time, soaking all four kids. THEY LOVED IT!

My question - is someone in one of the shops watching and controlling the fountains as a prank?

Nope. They go through a pre-programmed sequence. The sequence changes patterns a lot to keep folks off-guard. ;)

In addition to the large one (it's near Once Upon a Toy, I believe), there's also a smaller one near the Marketplace bus stops.
