Daft Question

Hello hello,

I fly out to Orlando on Tues September 02.
A couple of questions really.
First thing I am staying in the Fairfield Inn & Suites and being an insomniac do not get much sleep so I watch a little TV.
What stations would I get at my hotel, anyone??
I know its a weird question to ask and I should just wait until I get there, but i'm just thinking out loud here.

Secondly, Last year while I was in Orlando marked the 1st anniversary of September the 11th and as a mark of respect we were told to basically just stay at our hotel and keep away from the parks, which we did.
Any idea if the same may happen this year?

Thanx All,

wow 36 views and no reply, it must have been that mundane a question, lol

I will post a reply to your question. I can not answer on the TV stations you will be getting but I can say that I haven't heared about anything relating to September 11th and direct corolation with crowded places. But then again most of those warnings don't come out till that last minute. I will be down there 6th - 13th and am not the least bit worried. Go have fun and enjoy the world!

I don't know who would have told you this to begin with, but the parks are fully open and operational. I don't think it's a lack of respect towards the victims of 9-11 by going out to the parks either.

I would take it to be a sign of respect that you do go to the parks, showing that you did not allow this tragedy to disrupt your life and the freedoms that we sometimes take for granted.

As for the tv channels, you will get the major channels but will probably not get any Disney related ones. :(

Ahh well the question "who told you this" can be answered quite simply..
the ticket guy at the Ramada Inn international drive.
Being it was the 1st anniversary, he was advising us Brits to
just bare in mind what the date signified, and that it would be best if we stayed around our hotel. I thought it was weird seeing as Disney was all about uniting the world and an American icon.
In the end I just stayed around the hotel.
And they ticket guy was creepy anyway, lol

Sounds creepy.....I too feel that it would be ones own personal preference to lay low on that day or go ahead and like someone else said show that the tragady of that day will not freighten us. But you should do what you feel is right. We all deal with these matters differently. have fun thats why you go to the world.:animwink:
