Dad and Son trip

Hello,

This trip it is my son Brandon 12 and me 32. This was going to be the 26th to the 6th of March but due to bad weather we got to fly out on the 24th and have a extra day. Not a bad thing I dont think. The first 2 nights we have been at OKW studio. The main pool is closed here. They are redoing the whole inside of it. We got in lastnight at 6pm and went to DTD. We ate at T-Rex I didnt like it at all. It is just like the rfc same type of food. we got burgers and waffle frys. Just really wasnt good. I wont be going back. It was raining and cold so of course my son wanted to go to the pool so we went in the quit pool next to our room and called it a night.

Thursday 25th


Today we went to EPOCT. Well we started with pants and t-shirts and our main goal was to find sweatshirts ASAP. We did and thing where better. The wait times where not long at all 25 min TT 35 soarin everything else was walk on. We made our own ride in inoventions that was really cool. Had lunch at the electric umbrella. When did they stop with the chicked strips and go to little like pieces? Lunch was good. We went did around the showcase. Had a great time. Came back to OKW and hit the pool well I went in the hot tub. They are boating people from OKW to SS pool if you want to use there slide I just think it would be a cold ride back being wet. Tomorrow we are going to AK and checking into AKL jambo house sav view cant wait first time going to be there. I will have more soon from cold FL and pics when I get home. thanks for reading.

Shame about the t-rex,food really that bad!?! or was it the atmosphere? or both? lol.
we were thinking of giong there on our first night, we always hit DTD first and would just grab a macdonalds but that will be closed when we go. Might try Wolfgangs.

Friday 26th.


Today we went to AK after calling bell services and having out luggage shipped toe Jambo house. It was very easy to do they stick some stickers on your bags and give you a ticket and off they go. We got to AK around 930am and went right for the safari. We love this ride. We had the best 2 week trip in the savanna then we have ever had. I think I have been on this ride atleast 20 times and this by far was the best with the most animal interaction and the best tour guide ever his name was Bob. I enjoyed him so much I even let GS know. He was not only fitting the part but giving us alot of extra details of the animals and also going very slow if not stopping at times for great pictures. I will post some. After that we took the train over to the Planet. My son is getting alittle old for this part petting animals really isnt his thing anymore and inside there wasnt much going on. I think this part of the park is missing something I fully understand the purpose of it but just needs something. It was a really slow day at AK so we went for Everest. My sons first ride ever on this coaster. He loved all of it till we went backwards. lol. The yeti didnt do anything he was just back light with a white light. No moving or anything. blahhhh. We skipped kali do to weather and went to the carnival. Just walked threw but did notice if you did want to play a game you have to buy a ticket for a scalper. I thought you always paid the person at the game. I could be wrong. After the local carnival we went to dinosaur had a nice dark ride. My son was funny at 12 still crams his head into my arm when he gets scared. We didnt hit any shows at this time and really wanted to get to AKL to check in. WOW it was great had a nice view of Asura sav. there was awesome animals outside of our room. This place is well thought of and themed. My son was itching to get in the pool so off we went. The water was nice and warm. I went for a dip then headed to the pool bar to enjoy the hockey game that was on and refresh myself while my son swam with some kids he met at the pool. I was talking with the head life gaurd there and he was telling me that the bottom of there pool use to be brown but they just painted it blue because the life guards where having a hard time picking up the training matts that they use to train with. After a few drinks and a great hockey game I was hungery so we went to the fast food place at akl sana or something like that. It was good. We went back to the room watched a movie and went to bed.


Saturday 27th

Today we got up at 930 and headed to MGM (DHS). Yikes a little mistake this was ESPN the weekend was there and they where having alot of things going on with alot of guests in the park. So my son loves LMA and TSM so we did both of them and left. We took the boat to the boardwalk and did a few things down there ate at ESPN club and went back to AKL for swimming. We rented some free movies at the gift shop and ordered pizza from flippers and had a easy night.

Sunday 28th

Today we got up at 9am and it was RAINING so we went back to bed lol. Got back up at 10am and ordered room service breakfast had some great eggs and bacon my son had pancakes. After that we really just wanted to take the lodge in so we did laundry and played video games at the arcade. another slow day for us. I have always had people come down with us on vacation and this was diffrent I always felt like i had to show everyone everything I knew about disney and with my son on this trip we just took it easy and relaxed which was very nice.

Monday March 1st


Today we got up and called Bell Service again to head the Kidani Villiage. After they got our bags we head off the MK. We went and did Jungle cruise POTC and after we watched a cool little show there with Captian Jack. The look a like was great and was a neat and funny show. After that we hit Splash walk on no wait and the BTM with a 10 min wait. Both where great didnt get that wet on splash and there was some new paint which was nice. Had lunch at Pecos and headed off the HM had some haunts and walked over the TSA took a drive on the cars where they have a video board now that shows your picture as you go by. Pretty neat. Went for a blast on space and a ride on TTA. Skipped buzz and of couse did COP and then headed out for the day. We took the long way home and did our monorail ride to TT then to EPCOT and then the buss to AKL Kidani. Checked in and then walked to our room and I mean we walked and walked and walked and walked. I took 6mins to walk from the desk to our room. I cant belive how far spread out this resort is. Got to our room called for our luggage and got in our swim shorts and headed to the pool. I jumped in the shower that was very cold and went right to the water slide sat down and off I went and I screamed like a little girl all the way down IT WAS COLD very COLD i swim in the ocean in Mass all summer long and it was colder then that. The heater broke on the pool but they didnt tell anyone. The life guard was lol at me when I hit the water. I was p_ssed. I got out and went for a drink and to the hot tub. After warming up we head back to the room and found out there was no place to grab a quick bite to eat so we headed off to DDD. we ate at Planet Hollywood had a ok meal and walked around for a bit then headed back to the room for the night.

They still have chicken they are just small pieces that are like nuggets. They give you 8 of them about the same amount of chicken as the strips but there a pain to dunk into honey mustard and stuff without getting your fingers sticky.
