Aw. It struggled so much to be kept alive & nearly closed some years ago.

My parents had good memories from the 1980's there.

A shame, hopefully it re-opens. It was a neat place.

^ Sad part is, it has closed and re-opened in the last year.

The location of the place is just awful and they have run the same stuff forever there. Ski shows and locals dressed as southern bells is just not a draw anymore.

My brother lives a few minutes from there and this park was more for the locals than it has been for the tourist's that past few years. Cypress Gardens was the first park opened down there. I will talk to my Brother who lives in Lake Wales over the weekend and see what he knows since he takes my niece there a lot to go swimming.

That's too bad. I went a few times and had a good time, they had some good concerts.
It was a funky little place.

I talked to my brother over the weekend who lives in Lake Wales and he told me that this is true and that the park has been shut down. Sorry to see it go. Ironic that the first theme park in FLA is the First to close.

So sad to hear this, considering their past history of openings/closings. I haven't been to CG for probably 10+ years, but from every article I've read, they were really hoping the place would float this time. Guess it's time to give up and let it go.
