Current Weather in WDW?

Alright. This might seem a little silly, since I'm quite capable of checking out any of the weather sites online to get the actual weather report, but here's my question for those of you already down there:
My family is leaving tomorrow (2/7/04) for 12 days in WDW. With all of the airline luggage restrictions, I'm trying to pack as efficiently as possible. So when I read that it's 60s and 70s during the day, but lows around 40-45, I'm not sure how cold that actually is. Will a sweatshirt or light jacket be enough? Something to throw on over shorts? It's hard to gauge, coming from New England in the middle of a significant snow & ice storm. 40 almost sounds balmy! I just can't see packing a separate set of clothing for each of us for that long of a stay.
Any insight?
Thanks!

For the nights I would suggest a sweatshirt or maybe a fleece pull-over and jeans. You might get by in the morning with a sweatshirt and shorts. Something to keep in mind, the weather here in Florida can change within minutes, and the weather forecasts are only accurate to about 72 hours out. Like right now where I am it is 70 degrees at 6:30am. Tomorrow morning at this time it is forcast to be 39 degrees. Winter is hard to judge here so best be prepared for all situations. Hope this helps and have a great trip!

We will be at WDW from Feb 11 - 18 and I am seeing the same weather reports for lows in the 40s. Also running through the same thought processes about efficient packing.

Here's my two cents: we have gone often in early to mid Feb. we usually take a light jacket (coming from Michigan, so we need it on departure and return day) and a couple sweaters. That is usually plenty to keep us warm at night. Also bring a couple pairs of long pants for the evenings. That should do it.

Also, in case you were not already thinking of this, if you are staying on site, the hotels have laundry facilities. We usually pack enough clothes for about 1/2 the trip and then I spend a few hours one afternoon (when everyone else is by the pool) doing all the laundry. This helps to lighten the packing load.

We've done both February & March. Pack a few pairs of shorts, a few pairs of long pants...my kids always liked wind suits. A sweatshirt or heavy sweater and shirts that could be worn with both. One morning it was 27 degrees and we had to buy extra sweatshirts to keep us warm, by the afternoon is was warm & it got cold again at night.

I'm a big believer in using the laundry facilities, too. The kids swim or nap & I do the wash and read.

Lately it has been staying rather warm well into the night, it is usually around 1 in the morning before it is getting cold, and that is mostly because of the wind. If you are going to be out that late I recomend a sweatshirt, but shorts should be good for you for the majority of your trip. It is 10:30 here and it is already close to 80 degrees and i live about 5 minutes from MK.
