Curiousity question about Mission Space

Greetings to all. I just finished watching the video at this site of the Mission Space attraction, and have definately put this on my list of must ride attractions when I can afford to visit Disney World.

One question though that perks my curiousity. Does anyone know if the machines in the mission to Mars thing spin from beginning to end, or do they only spin at certain times?

Welcome to WDWMAGIC! :)

Are you talking about the centrifuges in the actual ride part of Mission Space?
If so, they begin spinning just before launch, and continue spinning throughout the ride, but at varying speeds, from 0 to 32(approx)mph.

they spin at certain times, the ride is very smooth, so you dont feel it spinning. but there are about 3 times when you are pull back against your seat. I suggestion not to eat alot before or after the ride. I found the conter service resturant "Pure & Simple" in Wonders of Life to be a good stop a lite lunch after M:S.

Its funny to have watched people in the front of the building all excitied to go and then at the exit laying on the floor, or clutching thier stomachs

I didn't see that the times I rode M:S....everyone had a bigger smile as they were leaving than when they were going in.......no one was on the floor.....I'm not saying some weren't a bit silent (silence which could mean they were dizzy or weren't feeling good)....but for the most part people were really pumped...and running to ride again.

I saw people being taken out in a w/c when they didn't go in that way. I saw a 20ish girl carried out by 3 friends and then dragged away a 1/2 hr later when she still couldn't stand up. A middle aged woman collapsed in the gift shop and my 8y/o got sick 15 min or so later. My DH felt like he had a fist in his chest from the start of the rid and the feeling didn't go away for hours.

I wasn't brave enough to ride.:hurl:
