My son is in the final year of culinary school, deans list all quarters. He said the other day a rep from WDW came and gave a presentation on the exterships available to students from his school. They take the top ten only (he is in that group), it is paid with housing etc....However, he has talked with a few people who have known students who have taken this opportunity and the reviews have been less than great. The instructors are all encouraging him, the students have different reviews. Long hours don't scare him, a bad kitchen experience does.
Is it worth it? Where you placed in a great resturant or behind the counter at Caseys? He is so willing to go thru with it if he knows he will at least have a chance to get in a kitchen and make a great meal, not stand in front of a fryer and plop corn dog nuggets into a container. (fyi, I love Caseys, I eat there every trip) Any one out there that can help with this question?
