Does anyone know what happened to the Statue of the Styracasaurus that was removed when the attraction was renamed to Dinosaur?

I found some pictures of it from the artist who sculpted it..But, I've not seen the statue anywhere else or reused for something for Dino-Land..Anyone know??

Side Note: Here's the Link. http://www.polarfilms.com/gauba/artbronze_022.htm The artist has done a few sculpts that look familiar..Including the infamous Dragon head on the far left ticket booth at AK and the Alien from Alien Encounter..

I don't know about any of your questions.

Just have to say that I think the previous sculture looks much more dramatic than the current one. The Styracasaurus is such a good looking animal, so much more charismatic than the somewhat bland Iguanodon. For some reason, both the movie and the statue and the ride originally featured the Styracasaurus. Is it is horned head, boney skull and birdlike beak that caused the change, by preventing a range of facial expressions and looking a bit agressive in general?

I thought the movie Dinosaur pretty good. It certainly looked pretty! Shame they felt they had to overhaul CTX.
Also, what a pity they didn't just move the statue to someplace else in DAK. Cretaceous Trail, or the entrance to Dinoland, or even in a nice flowerbed somewhere near the entrance or bus station.

It makes me wonder what will Disney think of when 20th Century Fox releases Walking with Dinosaurs The Movie 3D. It was Done in the same way Disney's Dinosaur was made using live land footage and CG dino's and this time It's not about an Iguanadon..But a Pachyrhinosaurus..

Wow, can anybody say knock-off?

I loved the orginal 'Walking with...' series. It was the greatest thing I had ever seen on the telly! Shame the producers went a bit commercial after that.

Speaking of which, Walking with Dinosaurs / Prehistoric Beasts is exactly the kind of thing I'd love to see in DAK. Why didn't Disney produce these series? Such fantastic synergy to be had with tv, parks and merchandise. Disney lacks vision and creative power.

Ah wait, that's true. I always see that movie set in the Backlot Tour in WDSP from Dinotopia. I never did check out the movie itself, doesn't look like my thing.

Yeah you weren't missing much on the movie..It was terrible. And I would have thought they would've taken the Dinotopia concept (If it was successful) for Dino-land which would make a lot more sense..
