CSR or AOA?

We have the opportunity to stay at either for our Nov trip. With discounts CSR is the same price as AOA (Little Mermaid Room). We have done AOA before but never CSR. Family of 4 with 9yo and 4yo. I have been trying to find updated pics and things not of the tower. Thought I might find some good reviews and advice from this crew. Our kids do love all things Disney and really loved AOA when we stayed there last. Thoughts, ideas, advice?

Thanks!!!

I've stayed at both and honestly I wouldn't recommend either.
Out of values I'd recommend POP or ASMo.
Out of mods I'd recommend POR.

If I absolutely had to choose between CSR and AOA I'd go with AOA.

CSR has always catered more to the conference crowd and even more so now with the new tower open.

Personally, i'd choose Coronado, but given the family factor AoA might indeed be the choice for you. It all depends on what you're looking for.

Is the Disney theming super important for your family? If so, yes AoA is the way to go. The Little Mermaid rooms are completely themed to the story, however, they do have the old room layout which can feel outdated and cramped. Coronado has its own unique beautiful theming, it just is not Disney specifically.

The rooms at Coronado for the most part been renovated and look more modern, spacious and sleek, which to me leads to a better experience. Plus, due to the tower, they have added many dining options. At AOA you have landscape and the Pop QS if you cross the bridge. While at Coronado you now have a quick service, a pool bar with food options, multiple sit down restaurants and a signature restaurant.

Both main pools are great for kids, the one at Coronado has a slide which is fun and the one at AoA has the cute nemo theme and plays music underwater which is neat.

For transportation AoA will have the Skyliner edge since it will have recently opened, which might make going to DHS or Epcot easier.

Pro: your 4 yo will especially love the themeing of the room and the resort at AOA and the food court is good and you can catch buses for POP or AOA which is convenient

Con: fitting two adults and a 2.5 year old into the LM room was..... fun. I cannot imagine throwing in a 9 year old too. It's doable, but you'll be on top of each other the whole time.

I haven't stayed at the other resort so idk about that one.

I would chose Coronado Springs non tower room. The refurbished rooms are very nice. The 2 queen beds are better than the fulls you get at AoA Little Mermaid. If your 4 year old needs a bath, make sure to request that because not all rooms have bathtubs. I don't recommend a tower room for families because the bathroom setup makes it difficult for multiple people to get ready at the same time. Coronado Springs has more food options than AoA and the Dig Site pool is so much fun! The slide is also really nice. For the same price, I would also pick a moderate over a value.
