Crystal Palace Breakfest

We finally got reservations for an 8:20 breakfest at Crystal Palace on the 12th of June. Has anyone gone to this? How's the food? Do the characters come around just like they do for dinner? Any feedback is appreciated! :)

Well, the food is served buffet style, and is nothing special at all. It's your basic breakfast, you know, bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes...The characters come around, but they table hop, so you see them...just usually not at your table. It's not awful, just not worth it.

We ate lunch at the Crystal Palace & loved it but I love the Pooh characters. The food was pretty good. In fact we thought it was a great character meal and will probably do it again.

All of the characters came to our table and we made pictures.

Breakfasts

We've eaten at both the Crystal Palace and Beach Club. All of the breakfast buffets are pretty much the same and all very enjoyable. You're paying a higher price because the characters are there...so if you want pictures with the characters you have to pay the price. I really can't stand the Pooh characters and I enjoyed the Crystal Palace anyway. A lot of it is the atmosphere too. We do these character breakfasts every trip... high priced or not because that's what we go there for...to be up close and personal with Disney characters. We eat alone at home!!! Hope you enjoy whichever buffet you chose.

Where is the one at AK? Is it Rainforest Cafe?

ah yes.. Crystal Palace..

good food.. but it's a bit on the busy side.

one pointer- keep your kids at the table when they're eating. The characters, and the servers appreciate that. Tonight, tigger and a server took a spill when some family sent their kid running to tigger from across the restaurant.

Did this one too!!! It's actually one of the better ones as far as the menu. As I recall it was just a little different. Characters and servers are really great at this one. A touch of humor added to the menu. Donald isn't as easy to find as some of the other characters so if you like Donald this is the one for you.

We did dinner there once and it was really fun. You could eat as much as ou want and take as many pictures as you wanted with all the characters. It was a few years ago so I don't really remember the quality of the food though.

I would have to completely disagree with this. We have been to the character lunch at the Crystal Palace several times, each time without children, and have had each and every character visit our table and actually spend a few minutes with us for pictures, etc. I think if you have kids it would most definitely be worth it.

This is what we also do - early lunch works quite well on an EE day. We eat and then leave the park before the major crowd or eat late lunch catch the parade and go. This is one of our favorite character meals. It was tough last year when it was being refurbished however we tried something new and enjoyed dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the time. Anyway this trip it's back to the Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace Breakfast

I love this buffet! I have to say though, I love food in general, but they have one item that (I hope) is still there. Puffed French Toast! It's Texas sliced toast dipped in cinnamon and sugar. The only drawback is that it is very hectic and crowded, since the Crystal Palace is very open and the structure seems to carry noise. However, I put all of that past me just to have a great breakfast in the Magic Kingdom.

My........you obviously had a bad day at Mk !!!!!!!

Crystal Palace does an all-you-can-eat-buffet (ok so its nothing brilliant - but there is a good choice of all the normal breakfast foods).
The atmosphere is really good, the CM's are really attentive and ALL the characters visit ALL the tables on a rotation basis; except Pooh who stands in the centre of the restaurant waiting diners to visit him.
We've done a CP breakfast on each of our last three visits to WDW and will return :slurp:

Well, Pooh was out and about visiting the tables back in February. He visited our table and loved my son's drawing of the Great Unknown from the Pooh's Grand Adventure movie so much, he asked (signed, whatever) if he could have the drawing! Joshua signed his name and gave it to Pooh, and Pooh carried it around the restaurant with him until he got back to where his handler was, and (it appeared) asked the handler to put the drawing aside for him!

during breakfast pooh stands in the middle, during dinner, pooh goes in the rotation.

also, if a character is in the table ahead of yours while you're being seated, the character did not miss your table. There was no one seated at the table when the character was there. So don't tell the server that the character missed your table.

Sorry.. venting.. just a pet peeve of mine

Ah, that explains it. We were there for lunch, so we had Pooh come around, and if it were breakfast, that would not be so. Thanks for clarifying, Rob!
