Hi everyone!!!
As the title states, we are going on a new adventure! I had every intention on going back to WDW next spring, but my husband has finally talked me into a Disney Cruise instead and now we are officially booked. What better way to get excited about all the planning than to start a pre-trip report? Not to mention, since this is my first Disney Cruise, I'd love to have some feedback from my fellow WDWMagic Disney cruisers throughout the planning process.
Details:
When: May 2nd - May 9th
What: 7 night Eastern Caribbean Cruise from Port Canaveral on the Disney Fantasy (Tortula, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay)
(google image)
Who: Heather (Me), Josh and Cam
Here we are on our last trip to WDW in November of last year.
Talks of going on a Disney Cruise began after this trip. I wanted to book another WDW trip immediately, but my husband wasn't going to give up. The thing is, I had never been on a cruise before and was afraid of being seasick. Lets be honest, the DCL is not cheap and I didn't want to spend that much $$$ and be sick the entire time. So this past April, we decided to go on a cruise out of New Orleans (our home port and on a much cheaper cruise line) as a way to celebrate our anniversary and see if I liked cruising. Turns out, we had a great time and I did not get sick at all. I thought, wow, I had such a great time that I can't imagine how much fun I'd have with Disney. Although, I know once I go Disney, I'm not going back.
Some photos from our anniversary cruise (we cruised to Cozumel and Yucatan):
I'm excited! Even though it's so far out, there's something to say about having something reserved and the whole planning process! I look forward to sharing more as time goes by! Feel free to share any tips that you may have!
I'll leave you with an updated pic of my little dude. This will be his very first cruise! He loved the boats on the lake, so I imagine he will love the cruise ship. We plan to tell him about the cruise on Christmas, so right now it's a secret.
From Father's Day:
319 days until we set sail!
