Cruise Soda

Some questions:
Can buy a soda cup at the beginning of the cruise & use it all week. Just like at the resort.
Or is soda free on the ship?

Is there plexiglass around the decks so that you can't feel the air (for the kids protection)?

What's the best thing about cruising?

Can't wait to see your answers.

Hi there... Welcome aboard!

Yes, you can but mugs for soda. The only time it is free is at your dinners. Juice, etc. is provided at the lunch buffet.

I'm pretty sure there is plexiglass around the safety railings. Not 100% sure, but if I remember right there is.

The best thing about cruising...
Whatever you enjoy the most! Personally, I like the open ocean. There's nothing like looking out and seeing nothing for miles and miles, and the calmness, especially as the sun sets.

Enjoy the cruise! When are you going?

The best things about cruising with Disney: the adult only pool, Castaway Cay, Vista Spa, Palo, watching first run Disney/Touchstone Movies for free, room service at 2:00am..free, the friendly Cast Members.....I could go on and on.....

Hey there, I'm posting from the Magic's Internet cafe right now. (Can't sleep... bleh.)

Yeah, you can buy soda mugs. They're about $35 each (for the 7 night cruise at least).

There is a lot of plexiglass, especially around deck 9, but you can really get the wind in your face on deck 10 and on the deck 4 prominade. Still there's a lot of plexiglass at waist level (and on the verandas too), but nothing above the rails.

Wow, that $35 seems steep!!! How much are the mugs on the
4 day cruise? I am planning on a land/sea cruise in June of 2005.
Do you use your mugs that much on the ship? I know we really used ours before when we stayed at the resort.

About the cost of the mug...
It's worth it if you're a soda drinker. Buying individual sodas for seven days will quickly add up to $35 or more.

Favorite thing about the cruise...
Everything!!!...but if I have to narrow it down, I'd have to say the shows. The shows on the ship live up to the Disney name. Definitely catch the Until We Meet Again "show" in the atrium on the last night. It will bring a tear to the eye...especially at the end of a seven day.

Plexiglass...
Deck nine has a good amount of deck that is enclosed in plexiglass...all the way up. The remainder of the decks are open with plexiglass stopping at the bottom of the railing....which is above waist level on most adults.
