Someone was telling me that on the Cruise Line there is no longer the black tie night where everyone is meant to dress up for going to dinner. Im pretty sure he is wrong, just wondering if anyone could confirm what i or he thinks.

Well in this years brochure it says there still are. It was just so that we didnt pack something we didnt need. I dunno if it was that bad. Only if you have it in Parrot Cay cos it is weird being dressed up in a more casual type place.

I've been on both the 7 and 3 day cruises, on the 3 day they dont care what you were, your ticket thing will tell you to get more dressed up in Tritons, but I didn't. On the 7 day there are two nights were they like you to get dressed up, but people came in w/ shorts and golf shirts.

I've never heard of DCL having any black tie nights... They ask you to dress up a bit more for Triton's or Lumiere's (depending whether you are on Magic or Wonder), but other than that, they don't require anything but a polo/ slacks for men/boys, or a tie/ suit for men/boys at Triton's/Lumiere's and a dress for women/girls.... confused? Sorry...

But my point is, Disney is not strict on its dinner dress code... I went in shorts and T-shirts most of the time, and no one ever said anything...

I didn't have time to change for dinner... are they crazy?!? :hammer:

I've been on DCL 3 times, the 7 day cruises are the ones they like you to get dressed up on, but they wont tell you to leave. One of the two dressy nights I think is the Master Chefs gala dinner, that one is awesome!

You are encouraged to get dressed up two evenings on the 7 Day cruise. These are their special Master Chef Gala Dinner and the Captain's Gala Dinner. When I was there I saw people in full cocktail attire and people dressed in shorts and polo shirts.
