I wasn't there, but seeing as how nobody else has answered you, I would say that my guess is no.
The early part of November is not particularly crowded. And during non-Presidential election years (like 06) most kids don't get out of school on election day, so there's really no reason why it would be more crowded than the same week in an odd number year.

The wait times were generally about 30-40 minutes for most attractions at all of the parks. This year was much busier than years past. The longest wait time we found was 75 minutes for Soarin. It did not help that Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain were shut down and closed a number of times during the week.
