Hey,

I'm going back to Disney World Memorial Day week...being a survivor of the Christmas Week at Disney World I know the crowds can be no worse then that.

My mom and I are in no rush to see the attractions...I've been going down to DW since I was old enough to ride a plane...it's just that I want to enjoy the parks with out having the feeling that a mother is going to push her screeming 3 yearold in front of you to watch a parade when you have been standing there for the past hour...u know what I mean

For who eva have been to WDW lately.... how have the park crowds been? :veryconfu

PS- For all u newcomers like me who have no idea where to post things...I posted a message about park times in the sections for donations....PRETTY SAD!!! :veryconfu

well hopefully as people get bach from their trips they will report on this. part of our ten day trip covers mem. day as well. I think we will skip MK that day. i too hate it when people shove their kids....big and little in front of you...and I am a mom...one who stakes my claim early and resents being squished w/someone elses sweaty, tired , crying child....we dont try and squeeze in two more rides...we find our space...just wish others would do the same...

well, the heat isn't the thing that bothers us so much as not being able to move an inch w/o bumping into someone or being run over by an 8yr old pushing a 2 yr old in a stroller.....

I just got off the phone with my Mom who is currently at the Poly. I asked her how the crowds have been the last few days. She said they were awful at MK. Everything had a line. The Haunted Mansion had a 35 minute wait and even It's A Small World had a 40 minute wait. She heard that apparently they are running some kind of special deal for NYC police/fire personnel where they can stay for a really good price (actually she thought it was for free) for like 4 days.

She said AK wasn't too bad. They managed to get on the Safari (20 minute wait), Kali River Rapids, and Primeval Whirl.

Hope the crowds go down by Thursday when I get there :animwink: .

I just got back from Disney this past Thursday. The lines weren't bad except for the mid afternoons at all the parks. You also had to find a spot for the parade about 30-45 mins before it started. The night time parade wasn't as bad (saw the last parde of the night). The weather was still hot there too. 90's every day. Hope that helped.

I just got back and the lines were not bad at all and for the lines that were >30 minutes we snagged a fastpass. Towards the end of the week it got a little busier. It was very hot. Mid 90s all week and not a drop of rain. I am very depressed to be home.:(

Well I am glad to hear not a drop of rain...its rained here for weeks..we are in the midwest and most everyplace is flooded. On Mothers Day we had to pull off the highway and we saw a man rescue an elderly woman from her car...she didnt realize how deep the water was...up to her window~~ hope it doesnt rain when we are there...I dont mind a short shower but its been constant downpour all day everyday...the Mississippi is way out of her bank here! I am actually looking forward to the warm weather....we had 90s here and then the rain came and its been 50s! yuck~~~

Toad:

That was Disney's American Hero Salute and it ended on 4/30/02. A whole bunch took advantage of this 1/2 price Resort, free entrance to the parks and 1/2 price for up to 5 family members to enter the parks. I was also told Scottland has "Holiday" time in May which always significantly increases attendence even if tourism is of 15% overseas.

OK, that's pretty cool of Disney. When we got there on May 2nd it seemed to be over. MK crowds were a little heavy but the other parks were fine.

I was also told Scottland has "Holiday" time in May which always significantly increases attendence even if tourism is of 15% overseas.

That would explain all the people with accents.:animwink:

Wow hope we run into some of those people from Scotland~ that is one of the great things about Disney..the kids love seeing how many different nationalities they can meet..so if you see a group of kids from 2-15 yrs in age asking you where your from could be our group of nosey little kids lol!
