WE usually go the 3rd week of August, when free dining usually starts, but since it starts a few days later this year, we are going the week before Labor Day.

How are the crowds the week of the 25th/26th? Hoping its just as manageable as the 3rd week of August! Thanks for the help!

I believe only two weeks are more crowded than your choice. The current week prior to Easter when local Orlando schools are on break and the week between Christmas and New Years. Be prepared for near capacity.

REally?? I have been looking up calendars and researching last week of August crowds and the numbers are LOW....like 3...Also I have been gone every year the 3rd week of August and the crowds are sooo manageable..so I would think the last week would dwindle even more:shrug:

You're right! You'll be fine at this time. Schools nationwide have just started back up means less family vacations. I did a quick check on Touringplans check and saw mostly 3s, 4s, and 5s. I'm sure these numbers will jump just a little because of the free dining but you certainly will not see parks near capacity!
We'll be there just before you the 18-27. Have a great trip!!

I'll be there same week. We went this exact week in 2009 too. It's a great time to go. In 2009 we hardly ever needs fast passes other then TSM Soarin and Test Track.

It will be HOT so be prepared, but the crowds were easily manageable. The ONLY place we really saw lots of people were at the restaurants. Make sure you have ADR's before you go. When we were at DHS at Sci Fi they were turnign ppl away at noon for the the ENTIRE day.

Where we live school doesn't start until after Labor Day so it's a great week for us to go. We get home and still have a coupel days to get ready for school.
