Crowds in Early June

I just booked my trip for the first week in June not realizing that "busy" season started then. Who has gone that week and what can you tell me about crowds and lines?

Lee County Florida last day of school is May 28th for 2014.

We did first week of June last year and did OK - kids were 8/5 and get up like alarm clocks at 6:45 AM so we hit rope drop every day. You might get lucky being the first week, but plan your parks and days. Have a great trip!!

I don't think there's an off season at WDW anymore...but I remember early June being like all our other trips crowd wise from Memorial Day weekend through late July

A lot of Florida schools get out either around Memorial Day or the first week of June. Plus keep in mind Star Wars Weekends happen up through the first weekend in June so HS will be extra busy that weekend. It might be crowded but very doable.

We are booked at WDW May 31 thru Jun 7th this year. Last year we did the same week at Universal, the crowds were not bad at all really. At least they were not bad enough last year to keep us from booking the same week at WDW this year

It has been very busy at WDW whenever we've gone in June, I would recommend getting to the parks for opening every day if you can and doing the more popular rides early. Just plan ahead to make sure you get to do everything you want to, it gets extremely hot too so the mornings are the best time to get stuff done in my experience.

Gay Days is the first weekend in June. I've been many times. It is tons of fun but very crowded, especially Magic Kingdom on the first Saturday in June.

We have gone that week and are looking at going back May 31st to June 7th of this year again. We keep an eye out for the plans for the Gay Days and then work around them as those parks get really crowded on those days. There are only a few scheduled early entry days and evening extra magic hours. We are planning on being at the parks before opening and plan the FP+ accordingly. We went last year the last week of July and first week of August and the crowds were just as bad...but it seemed like more Brazilian teen tour groups which in turn seemed like more unruly, rude and out of control all about me people pushing and shoving. Looking forward to June.

I went this past June (9th) for a 2 wk stay...there was a large crowd but I wasn't bad..i am thinking I will go back around the same time next summer as well..
