Crowds during first weekend of Halloween overlays.

I will be at DLR from September 13 - 15. This puts me right at the first weekend of the Halloween overlays. What should I expect crowd wise for HM and SM on these weekends? Is the first weekend usually slammed?

I have not decided on hotel yet. I may stay at PCH to get access to the EMH for DCA on Friday. What is the best way to handle RSR in this situation. I am only going to be there by myself, so single rider line is pretty much assured. I'm hitting WOC on the 13th doing the dinner package. Friday I will hit Fantasmic and fireworks. Other than an early hit at Blue Bayou on Friday for a Monte Cristo, everything else is free float. Any other suggestions? I don't really need to commando hit anything since I was already in the park in January. Just wondering if there are other season specific items I should keep my eye out for?

Expect HUGE crowds for HMH and SMGG. There's a reason Mansion has a Fastpass system during the Halloween and Christmas seasons. The locals and APs will be out. Space is crowded everyday, so that's a given but Delores is really popular amongst guests and the line may get a little longer.

Seriously, if you want a Fastpass for RSR, you have to show up at the crack of dawn. They run out by like 8 in the morning or something like that. Like you said, there's always single rider.:)

There's a Halloween parade but it's not something you have to catch in my opinion. It's an okay parade but nothing to write home about. Other than than the attractions, parade, fireworks etc., I'd say just enjoy your surroundings. Oh wait a sec, there will be a Frankenweenie exhibit going on at DCA for Halloween. Might want to check that out, I myself want to see it. Anyways, enjoy the decorations and the special Halloween treats!

Ok, Thanks. Crack of dawn won't be too hard for me on Friday. Coming from the East Coast, I will still be up early on that day. So I may try to get in to get an early fastpass. I'll just need to make sure I grab fastpass for HMH and SMGG too.

Your welcome, and that's good. I hope you can get one. I've heard people haven't been very lucky. You should be able to get Fastpasses for HMH and SMGG without a problem.
