Crowds days following Memorial Day Monday?

Hi everyone. My family and I are tentatively scheduled to arrive at Disneyworld on the evening of Memorial Day (Monday, May 30) and depart on Saturday, June 4. I'm now concerned, however, about the large "Memorial Day Crowds" I've read about on this and other forums, and I'm wondering whether it might be better to visit the following week instead (Monday, June 6 through Saturday, June 11 - our only other option).

I guess what I'm really wondering is whether the big crowds occur on the weekend leading up to and including Memorial Day Monday, or do they carry over to the days following Memorial Day as well. Perhaps both? We haven't confirmed our reservations yet, so I'd appreciate your insights. Thanks very much.

I usually go the first week of June and it isn't too bad. I have noticed an increase in crowds though. I will be going from the 25th to the 2nd. I haven't been before or during memorial day in a long time. It's going to be interesting. Hopefully it's not too crowded. :lookaroun The only thing I have to ride this time is POTC and Soarin' :sohappy:

Don't forget gay days in orlando may30-june 6. I believe its animal kingdom June 2, mgm june 3, magic kingdom june 4, and epcot june 5. Thay say as long as you stay away from these parks on these days . You should have no problems with there crowds.

Memorial Day will be crowded. The parks are a bit more crowded the week of memorial day but nothing like Spring Break. One year we were there for part of the first week in June and noticed that it was definitely more crowded than in May. I wouldn't go again in the beginning of June, May is much better.

There are 2 different gay group meeting @ this time. www.gayday.com and www.gaydays.com. Each group has its own schedule. The sites are not graphic. These are the days:

Thursday----AK & MGM
Friday-------Epcot & MGM
Saturday----Isalnds of Adventure & MK
Sunday------MK & Epcot
Monday -----AK

We've been during Gay Day(s) before and its really not that crowded.
