Crowds b/w Xmas eve and New Years ?

Are the parks packed to the gills every day? What days do they actually have to close the parks due to to many people? I was thinking of going to Animal Kingdom or Epcot, as the crowds would seem less (than MK or MGM)

Also, Cast Members can not get in with this ID during these days, correct?

The Crowds are high. MK is usually the only park to close before New Year's Eve. Every park is going to seem full.

CM got in free to all parks except MK last year during the week. New Year's Eve no CM got in free.

busy, busy, busy... use the fastpass system to your advantage, and try to do animal kingdom on a day you think is gonna be crazy busy, but it has several "attractions" that are just walk-through and don't have ques. on new years eve, though, i would head over to MGM. you can watch fantasmic (they did 3 showings last year) and sorcery in the sky fireworks, which is a rare event (just on the 4th and new years).
