Crowds around Columbus day

We're thinking about going to Orlando either the 8th or 12th of October for 2 weeks, which would mean that we were there, near to Columbus day and we don't know how busy it would be during this time. Would it be crowded and packed or not? ANy response would be helpful in planing on our holiday. Thanks

We were on our honeymoon Oct 9th-17th in '05 and it coincided with Columbus Day. The crowds were very manageable! I was concerned as well and even planned to take that day to just tour the resorts. Luckily we had no problems at all. Went to Epcot that morning, back to the MK and rode just about everything with little waits.

I'm hoping that it won't be to crowded, because I'm looking to bring the family down that weekend. If I'm unable to get the whole family I might come to town for a conference that weekend, and just extend on both ends.
