Crowd Levels

We're going January 19 thru 26th 2008, we though it would be calm that week. It's Martin Luther King week and we are taking our grandchildren, they will only miss 4 days of school. Does anyone know how busy it will be that week?

It won't be busy at all. I was there last year and neither the Marathon or the Martin Luther King day made a huge difference (although parts of AK felt busy because paths were closed for the marathon).

We queued for about 10 minutes on average with an occasional queue of about 30 mins here and there. We could eat at every restaurant we wanted to without reservation except the Royal Table (mind you, we didn't try to eat at many because we were staying off-site).

You might well have to put up with alot of cheerleaders though. It wasn't so bad but if you happen to be staying in the same resort as them you may tell a different story!

I don't think it will be busy at all, either.
The large crowds are usually only there during summer, and at huge holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, so you should be okay :)
