crowd levels during star wars wknds.

looks like we'll be doing a one day trip to mk either memorial day weekend (sunday the 29gh or monday the 30th) or possibly the thursday after. we're only doing mk and only the one day. i was wondering how crowded people feel mk is on that weekend and mk is on weekends when star wars weekend is going on at dhs?

Star Wars Weekends only increases crowds at the Studios, not in the other parks.

And even within the Studios, it really only affects Star Tours (even more-so that it'll be reopening from it's refurb), and makes walkways and food locations busier. It doesn't actually affect the lines at the other attractions very much, as the extra people coming specifically because of SWW are doing the character Meet & Greets, the parade, the celebrity autographs, etc.

As for how crowded it might be because of the long holiday weekend, it depends on what your frame of reference is. It'll be busy, but far from the absolutely busiest times.

According to Touringplans.com, the first weekend crowd estimate is given a 5 / 6 out of 10. The second weekend, Memorial Day weekend, they give it 8 out of 10.

We were at WDW during that time last year, and were at the MK on Monday (Memorial Day), Tuesday, and Wednesday. Surprisingly, Memorial Day was the least crowded by far of those three days. I had been expecting the opposite.
