Crowd Level Predictor

We will be travelling to Disney with three kids, four years old and under, around Thanksgiving so I am doing the best I can to plan and avoid wait times as much as possible.

I logged on this morning at 7:00 to book my Fastpasses for Sunday, November 27th to find that my first priorities (Enchanted Tales, Peter Pan) were all booked. So, I booked my next best choices. I then went back to Saturday, November 26th and found that they were available so I booked that day too (even though we will only be going one of these days). I think we have enough time to do all the attractions that would interest us, as we have another day in MK, so my preference would be to go the day that will likely have the lower crowds (which from all the sites I've visited looks like it's predicted to be the Sunday).

Also, November 27th has the special ticketed event happening first thing in the morning (I'm not concerned about the early closing, as the kids will be tired by then), but wondering if that will increase my wait times even if I arrive at rope drop.

My question is, based on Fastpass availability, can you get an idea of how busy a park will be or does it simply mean you are going to be there with a lot of planners who book Fastpasses asap? My choice of day would be when crowds are the lightest (given the age and likely patience level :) of my kids).

Thanks!

I have a touring plans subscription, crowds are rated 9/10 on the 26th. We're staying away from the parks that day..but mainly because we have other things planned. I will be at MK on the 27th from 9am-7pm and hoping it won't be crowded!

I would think the entire Thanksgiving weekend would be above average attendance.

I'm pretty certain you can expect above average crowds throughout the Thanksgiving holiday. We've visited the week leading up to it and the week following and have always seen the crowds fluctuate up prior and then slowly back down after. Just make plans knowing they might need to be adjusted and be flexible!! Go with the flow! That's our plan for the week before Christmas anyway!!

Don't forget that all onsite guests can book their FP+ at 60 days prior to arrival, offsite guests at 30 days. If you are just starting now, many have had a 30-day head start.
