Critique My Plans?

Hi All,

I'm heading to WDW in September for 2 weeks, was hoping you could have a little look at my plans and critique them for me? Anything I'm missing or advice etc? I've been to disney world 5 times before, but was either a child, staying off property & didn't really plan, or only there for a flying visit / doing universal also. This time it's 2 full weeks of disney magic on property!

Day 0 - Arrive at hotel around 7/8pm. No plans, probably get some food/catch uber to publix to buy all the american snacks we love!

Day 1 - Hollywood Studios - EMH in morning - Do toy story land/Commisary Lane / Grand Av Area and do rides / shops/shows in Area. ADR Mama Melrose 13:20 (With Fantasmic Dinner Package) Exit Park for miday break. Return at 5pm and ride/shows sunset boulevard area. Finish with Fatnasmic.

Day 2 Magic Kingdom - Work clockwise round park - Adventureland / Liberty Square ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern @ 12:05 - Miday break @ hotel. Afternoon / Evening - Frontierland & watch HEA.

Day 3 - Epcot - Pool / Resort AM. Head to Epcot at lunchtime for San Angel Inn @ 1:30 - Amble round world showcase & boardwalk. Watch Illuminations / Stay for PM EMH. If done with Showcase, ride whatever we feel like :)

Day 4 - Typhoon Lagoon - Whispering Canyon Cafe ADR at 18:50. Maybe head to MK after for EMH or head back to hotel.

Day 5 - Animal Kingdom - Rope drop to Navi River Journey then Tusker House Breakfast (ROL Package) at 10:15. Explore Africa. Hotel Midday break. Return in afternoon/evening and explore Asia & Watch rivers of light

Day 6 - No true plans. ADR at Splitsville at 12:00. Hoping to book the star wars VR Experience at the Void also.

Day 7 - Fort Wilderness brunch at 10:30. Followed by Typhoon Lagoon. Early night for the following day.

Day 8 (The busy one!) - Magic Kingdom - ADR Be Our Guest at 08:00. Do rides etc in Fantasyland. Take the railroad round to the entrance and leave for the hotel. Return for ADR at Tony's town square at 4pm. Then attend Halloween party all night! (Our first one!) So no true plans here apart from Trick or treating/parades/fireworks etc. The usuals.

Day 9 - Hollywopod Studios - Echo Lake / Animation courtyard areas and whatever else is leftover. ADR Sci Fi Dine In 14:00 - No plans for eveing / afternoon. Depends how we feel.

Day 10 - Epcot (EMH OM) - Future world the whole day. Dinner at Garden Grill at 13:30. Probably mid day break after this and return for EMH in evening.

Day 11 - Blizzard Beach - ADR at T-Rex 20:00.

Day 12 - Animal Kingdom - Rope Drop FOP. Explore remainder of park. ADR the Wave 20:30.

Day 13 - Magic Kingdom - Explore Main Street + Tomorrow Land + anythign we may have missed out on during Halloween / other days attendance. ADR Rainforest Cafe (DS) at 20:00

Day 14 - Breakfast at Ohana 10:45 - Then head to the Airport (And cry for hours, the whole 9 hours home)

DarthVader

Sith Lord
Day 9 - do you need another day at HS? With all of the construction, I'm wondering if there's enough to warrant a second day? I ask, because I'm heading there next week myself :)

Looks good, but I noticed you don't have Flights of Passage for your first AK visit? That seems to be the must-do ride for many people.

I would agree that you may want to Rope Drop FoP instead of Navi River Journey, especially if you can't get a FP+ for it.

Hollywood Studios doesn't need two days of touring, but it benefits from two days of FastPasses / two days of rope drops.

OP, my only concern is that you might not be getting enough sleep. You have a lot of late(ish) dinners, evening Extra Magic Hours, or nighttime shows followed by rope drop the next day. I think that's overdoing it.

For comparison: I travel for 8 nights, which means 7 full park days or 14 half days. We take two half days off and spend 12 half days in the parks. A "half day" is 9am to 1pm or 4pm to 8pm. We always have enough time to get to every single ride and show. With a full two week trip, you can afford to slow down big time. I'd recommend calling it quits earlier in the evenings and possibly skipping Extra Magic Hours all together. You don't need them.

HS is deffinately a twice visit park for us as Hubby's favorite thing in the world is Star Wars so he will want to spend hours looking at every piece of merchandise he can! And my favorite rides are Midway Mania, Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, so we really do love the park even with the construction. (And toy story land will be open!

Rope Drop Flight of passage is already there on the second AK visit on day 12. :) I'm hoping to get fastpasses but planning 2 rope drops and do one on each day. Hubby is also not great at rides, so he's not sure if he will be up for doing FoP yet. He will decide when we're there.

Thanks for your advice, We're planning our midday breaks for nap times to be honest! So i'm hoping that a nap mid-day will keep us going through the evenings. The only "Late nights" that are dead set are where I have firework shows booked, the rest aren't set that we need to stay until closing.
In addition to that, we don't really do rides at the waterparks so much, more likely than not we're found in the lazy river / pool so realistically we find the three waterpark days as "rest days" too, and we tend to cope OK! We only have 7 out of 14 nights where we have either ADR's or Firework shows planned (set in stone) so that's half the nights. And on those we mostly have mid afternoon breaks.

Will take your concern into consideration, thanks !

Staying at All Star Music.
And yes, that sounds like a good idea.
Don't forget to take into account the time it will take to leave the park and get to your hotel. It can sometimes take about 30 minutes just to get from park to resort, so there is pretty much an hour that will be used on travel time. I think your plans look great. With the park hoppers we tend to plan one day in AK and HS, two days in Epcot, and 3 days in MK. We usually use our last MK day as a placeholder and dont make reservations for those days. We like to use our last 2 days to hop to whatever we may have missed.

My husband and I are prone to motion sickness (plus I have vertigo) and we rode Flights of Passage last month. We both took Bonine earlier that day to help control the motion sickness. My husband still got nauseous but not nearly as bad as he's felt on other rides in the past. The very first drop triggered my vertigo but I was able to ground myself by looking behind me to the side so I can see the movements and the floor. That really helped! Then when I felt like we were soaring instead of dropping, I was able to turn my head and watch the screen. My BIL got a headache from the ride but other than that he was fine. Everyone still said it was a fantastic ride and was glad to do it at least once :)
