Ya just get the impression that Patrick Stewart is thinking (at that point)..."well, it's a job".
There is some fantastic 80's hair going on here.

It definitely took them a couple seasons get costumes, hair and makeup right. Worf's makeup and Denna's costumes and hair were horrible in the first season.
