Crazy Disney Deja vu

OK, what have you come across in "regular, everyday life" that either has been something from Disney or has reminded you of a Disney experience (sounds, objects, etc.)

For me, I was minding my own business on an expressway in the suburban Detroit area. As I began to pass a line of slower traffic in the right lane, I looked over and almost stroked out!
To my astonishment, on a flat-bed semi truck in the right lane was none other than a Disney bus! I'm not just talking the same kind of bus, I'm talking a big white bus with the big script "Disney" down the side and all the usual markings.
I think that I have read at some point that the buses are either built or re-built by a carriagemaker in northern Michigan.

Regardless, has anyone else seen anything out there that was just undoubtably Disney?!

Didn't you know that they make some of the Disney busses at GM's Truck and Bus plant in Auburn Hills? Yep. I see em' too from time to time. The plant is on Updyke. Where from in Detroit are you? You should check out the thread in chit chat...we might all meet up someplace. Anyways, in response to your thread...one day last winter, when I turned on the heat in my car, it made the whole car smell like the smell you smell as you walk throught the doors to ASMovies. We used to stay there and it brought me back!

Every time I hear a car 'shrieking' as it burns rubber on the pavement, I am instantly reminded of the woosh and squeaks heard outside test track...

I was on the subway in New York on my way to upper Manhattan and there were 2 guys who asked me to take the picture for them, and I noticed one of them was wearing a Test Track blue polo shirt. Which then of course led to wonderful conversation about wdw!

Also, on the flight to NYC a couple weeks ago, (we flew out of Detroit metro) the people behind us were going to Disney World (which made me tear up a little because for once i was NOT going there) my boyfriend then put his arm around me which of course made it worse...but in any case, i had to listen to them talk about it the whole way, so I finally turned around and joined them and gave them some good tips and advice, and I even threw in a few fast passes (child swaps) that I have accumulated over the summer. They were pretty happy about that. They then asked for apicture with me and thier kids...it was great. :)

I'm sorry! Although DTW is really ghetto, smelly and old (except, of course, for the new McNamara terminal), I still love it because I know that once I'm there, it's only a matter of time before I'll be smelling the humid Florida air and going "home" to the World!
