Covid Crowds

It'll be cooler by November. Crowds will still be low. I was just there 3 weeks ago and wearing a mask all day in the 90+ degree heat sucks. I'd bring more than one mask if I do it again during the hot weather, because they get wet with sweat. The low crowds are awesome so I may be back in Nov or Dec if they increase hours. I don't think I would go back with the reduced hours that start early Sept.

If it wasn't for the heat or wearing the stupid mask, I would so be at Disney World...the low crowd pictures are driving me CRAZY!!!! CRAZY!!!!!!! that I'm not there...so want to jump on a plane
I'd go despite the heat or wearing of the mask or taking the chances of Covid. It's justifying closing my business that just reopened and losing more income that I cant afford. Those low crowd scenes are sooo tempting to go... but making a living and DW brings me back to earth.

What good are the low crowds if nothing's open and you can't enjoy more than half the park and entertainment low crowds mean absolutely zero if you can only ride a handful of rides

The majority of rides are open. It’s the entertainment and restaurants that are currently lacking, however more and more restaurants have been opening. As far as the low crowds, that’s only during the week now. Weekends have been busy.

I hoped to go early in the year (March) when it was cooler then COVID. So attempting again when cooler -- October. Can't wait!

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
Finishing up my currently week long trip tonight. The heat has been unbearably hot. The masks are not a problem. But I thought We could handle the heat just fine. Noooooo way. So dang HOT.

The absolute worst of the worst of all things right now is now running trams from park entrance to parking at the end of your heat stroke inducing day. What feels like a short walk in the morning, feels like miles in the 95+ degree heat (again, didn’t think it’d be a problem. I’m 22, fiancé 21, both skinny/relatively in shape, ect.)

The crowd levels WERE amazing. But never did I ever Think I’d miss waiting in air conditioned lines.

In regards to your comment about weekends being busy - - just seeking some thoughts on that... We're headed down next weekend (Labor Day) and wondering what to expect based on current capacity limits? We've been multiple times so crowds aren't a big deal for us, but just didn't know what busy on weekends looks like right now? Would you say it's like a sold-out hard-ticket night? Specifically wondering about MK and HS. TIA! :)

It definitely won’t be as crowded as a sold out hard ticket night but you also shouldn’t expect the super low crowds that everyone has been posting all over the internet...somewhere in between. There will also be decent wait times, especially since it will be Labor Day weekend. The best tip I can give is get to the parks early. The MK opened up at 9 last Sunday and I got there a little after 8:30. They were actually letting guests in and on the attractions before 9. I was able to do Mine Train, Peter Pan, Mansion, Pirates and Space in a little over an hour. Then by 10-11 It started getting busier.

We’re going in December. Hopefully it’s still somewhat lower crowds.

We are going Thanksgiving week, an always crowded time. My hubby heard a rumor (somewhere on these boards) that WDW is looking to increase park capacity by about 20%....I have no idea what that means for wait times; I'm hoping they can still move people pretty quickly or they increase hours, or bring back fastpass (but I think the bringing back fp+ is a long way off).

Judging by lack of availability in the hotels at Disney and Universal for this weekend (granted quite a few are still closed, but you can't find a room at the ones that remain open, even though mid week its fine) it'll probably be the busiest it has been since reopening at all the Orlando parks. Which means, with the reduced capacity and new ride procedures, wait times may be pretty bad in some places.

That’s what we were thinking too. Luckily it’s still a few days at the parks😊, so we’ll have a great time. Just won’t have the low crowds we’ve seen.
