Who is covering the opening of Disney Store Time Square grand opening on Monday November 8? Is it on ABC? What is the schedule of events?

Its not going to be on ABC. Maybe WABC (the local NYC affiliate) but thats about it.
Its a store. Not going to get national coverage.

I thought that since it a few doors down from ABC studio that Good morning America would broadcast a few acts/ songs from Taylor Swift, etc during 8 or 9 am hours.

I was in there yesterday. It's nothing to write home about or get excited about. Just a larger version of the stores you can find in your local shopping mall.

It's not at all as interesting, exciting, or good as the old 5th Avenue store.

That's disappointing, I really liked the old store.

Nick I completely agree with you. I was in the store yesterday too. I was disappointed. I had heard how innovative it was supposed to be, all the consults with Steve Jobs. It was a large mall store skewed toward young girls.

The World of Disney store on 5th ave was infinitely better. I won't be making any weekly trips to the Times Square store like I did to World of Disney. I probably won't be spending money there either.

Does anyone have images of the new Disney stores in the US as I wouldn't mind seeing a picture, thank you. :)

Count me in with the camp that this new store is a disappointment. It pains me to say it felt very cheap, almost "temporary", and had none of the magic the way the World of Disney Store did. I'd often go visit that store on days where I needed some Disney magic, this one I'll probably never go to again.

I'd honestly go as far as to say that you'd be better off visiting the Disney Store at your local mall. Yes, I'm being dead serious.

However, I will say the cast was amazing and friendly! That you don't see every day in NYC.

It's nowhere near the size of the Virgin Mega Store. Think much, much, much smaller.

I was at the D23 event today and I enjoyed the store.

As for the size Jim Fielding explained that they took out a floor of the Virgin store, the top floor is technically the 3rd floor.

This store was never meant to be the replacement to the World of Disney, while I undersand the disapointment among everyone, it would be hard to live up to the WoD 5th AVE location. Though I have heard that it at least has some adult clothes LoL!

Time to pour some out of the WoD on 5th Ave. I loved visiting that store every time I went into NYC back when I lived in Philly.

I took a look between shows on Saturday, and wow was it totally UNIMPRESSIVE. It os very small, and VERY tilted to little girls. There just wasn't much of a selection if you aren't a small child.

It's small, considering its location, and the layout is really poor. With the amount of traffic going through the store, there was no room to move...and much of the congestion was caused by the presence of too many employees. It's really disappointing.

Forever 21 replaced the Virgin Megastore (and speaking for everyone who works on Broadway, we miss having going there to kill time between performances!). The Virgin Megastore had three levels, with the ground level floor being the "third floor." Forever 21 has four levels, with the ground floor being level 4.

The Disney has two levels...and unlike Foerever 21 and Virgin Megastore before it, Disney went up and not down (Forever 21 has floor space beneath the Disney Store).

I'm really disappointed to hear this. I used to take my kids to NYC right after they lit the Rockefeller Center tree, and we'd always hit the Disney Store, The Warner Brothers store, and FAO Schwartz. It was our little Christmas tradition, and we just loved the whole atmosphere - so different from shopping at home.

Totally agree. We were there yesterday and were a little disappointed.
