Couple last minute questions

Heading to the world in just over a week with a few questions

So, last time I went was apparently just before it changed in January, is the new one any good? I always loved the train show and have my doubts about the change. They allow guests to enter before the official park opening time to head to the hub correct?

Also has anyone done the Night time safari tour or the backstage tales tour at AK? Just wanted to see if either was worth the experience.

Thanks

Haven't seen the new show but you're right about being allowed in early.

As for the safaris question. I'm sure there's another thread which someone asking a similar question, about Backstage Tales. I don't think they do a nighttime safari tour any more. Or do you mean the one from AKL? Tours tend to book out early, some at 180 days. I tried for the AKL one at 4 months and it was booked out every night for my 2 week stay. You might get lucky, DS and I got to do Keys to the Kingdom one year close to 4th July, just by asking at the front desk. But I would phone NOW if you're interested.

I did the night time Kilimanjaro Safari last summer, and it was exciting, but like Nickys, I'm not sure they do that anymore. The time I was on, an Addax (a type of antelope) slid in the mud right under our (not moving) vehicle, got stuck, and had to be rescued.
