Here a recent report from a CM friend of mine:
"The show has been seeing pretty good crowds, especially during
peak times for the park (around noon to 3:00). During those hours it's not unusual to fill up the theater and have to ask people to wait for the next show. I just work weekends, by the way, so can't really speak for weekday crowds (have a "regular" job Monday through Friday). The crowds were surprisingly heavy for the Christmas show. We had to open up a substantial queue line and it was not at all unusual for folks to have to wait through two shows to get in. Since we've been back to the original show (and since overall park attendance is back down to post-holiday norms), crowds have tapered off. Over the last few weeks the CBJ hours have been a little less than normal park hours. We've been opening an hour after park opening and closing an hour before park closing (this is the practice that has been at the Tiki Bird show for quite a while). Not sure if this will continue at Grizzly Hall or not.
Show quality has been good. There were a few bugs the first
weekend we reopened but those have been taken care of. A few little quirks remain but overall quality, including audio, is good. By the way, Teddi and Wendell both got new hats (Teddi's is teal colored, Wendell's is tan) for the new year.
A lot of folks make it a point to say how much they enjoy the
bears. I get a special kick from a few circumstances in particular:
parents (or grandparents) saying they've always loved the show and delight in showing their kids (or grandkids) for the first time; west coast visitors who bemoan the closure of the Disneyland attraction and really relish seeing the bears at WDW; and a couple of handicapped kids who show up at Grizzly Hall almost every weekend. These include a girl with autism who insists on sitting front and center at the show, and a wheelchair bound boy named Fana who is absolutely infatuated with Shaker."
Isn't it NICE how these bears HELP the Handicap? They do NOT need to be shotdown!! :king:
