Country Bear & Limited Time Magic

Given all the talk about the "Limited Time Magic" promotion, and how they are bringing back rarely seen characters in the park, I wonder if the budget for this promotion would allow for a Christmas or Vacation show for CBJ to comeback?

What about a special Halloween or Valentine's Day Country Bear Jamboree show? This is something new, but I figure would fall under the rubric of limited magic.

Extremely doubtful. It is pretty expensive to switch over a holiday overlay. I don't think TDO will see the return on that investment, unless it is something they were planning to do anyway. And we know that ain't the case....

Doubtful. I'd love it! I miss it! But I don't even hope for it any longer.

I think they're going to take out the funniest parts and leave us with totally boring Country Bears. I hope I'm wrong, but changing interesting attractions into boring, more PC ones is very Disney these days.

I highly doubt it. I'm guessing the Christmas CBJ was the same length as the old show before it was butchered, so there's no chance. Plus they've just given them all a makeover with new costumes. They wouldn't bother changing them again after a month or so.

I saw the Christmas version my last 2 trips down there and am looking forward to the "traditional" form of the show this December. Really missed seeing that one. Yes the Christmas one was nice but the one that I remember from my childhood was the "traditional" one.

I actually thought the Vacation Hoedown was the best of the shows. I was surprised that when I saw the original I didn't really like it all that much.

I have the Christmas show on tape as well (from DL)and it too is enjoyable...I also wish they would return the overlays. It made the Country Bears bearable.(no pun intended!)

People need to stop saying "TDO". They do not have as much power as you think, so, to quote Melvin Moose, "If you can't say somethin' nice..."

TDO is the name for Disney management in Orlando. There isn't anything insulting about it. Furthermore, I haven't seen anyone attack/insult the individual members of TDO. We criticize their management style and what they have done to run WDW into the ground. The people in Burbank are not responsible for the everyday running in the park or many of the cost cutting measures that have taken away some of that Disney magic. As lone as there are no personal attacks on individuals it is within everyone's rights to question how management operates

I miss Christmas Bears. :(

So glad I captured them on tape. Yep, that shows you how long ago it was.

Me too. :(
